Joel and I are back in Guatemala after a full month in the USA. We fit as much into one month as we possible could and we’re thankful for the time we had with family, friends – old and new, and supporters. Here’s a quick summary of our month and then a picture tour!
1. Fito in the USA! For 9 days we had Fito with us in the States. What a fun opportunity to share that with him and for friends and family to meet him. It was impacting for people to hear what’s happening with YL in Guatemala straight from him. Thanks to everyone who made us feel welcome and Fito’s first trip to the midwest a great experience!
2. Meetings, meetings, meetings. It’s hard to say we had lots of meetings because meeting for us mean sitting down with good friends to share about life and ministry. But still, we filled our days with as many sit downs as we could. We’re thankful for people who are truly interested in us and what the Lord is doing in Guatemala.
3. Family Time – Joel and I had a week at my Uncle’s cottage with just our immediate family. Between tubing, bocce ball, swimming, baseball and frisbee it wasn’t quite as relaxing as we thought but it sure was fun and refreshing! The Witte family survived a week in close quarters with stories and smiles to spare. We capped off family time with throwing a surprise 60th birthday party for my dad.
